Defining the New Network: Fabric Technology that Delivers a Quantum Jump in Performance, Scale and Simplicity
SESSION: Networking III
EVENT TYPE: Exhibitor Forum
TIME: 3:30PM - 4:00PM
ABSTRACT: Data center and supercomputing center networks are increasingly called upon to connect a common set of global processing, storage and application resources. The network must flexibly support omni-directional traffic flows, ever increasing application sensitivity to delay and packet loss, and virtual machine instantiations.
This session will present how high performance network architectures based on fabric designs can optimize packet processing resulting in an order of magnitude lower latency for improved network and application performance. Dhritiman Dasgupta from Juniper Networks will illustrate how to reduce latency and simplify management with Juniper’s fabric technology and discuss benefits of the new network data center designs and capabilities it supports.
