Acumem’s Performance Debugger: Good Performance and Low Energy
SESSION: Debugging and Profiling
EVENT TYPE: Exhibitor Forum
TIME: 2:00PM - 2:30PM
ABSTRACT: Good performance and low power consumption are enabled by multicore technology. These properties are made possible, however, only through carefully managed interaction between hardware and software—not by either alone.
Unlike a traditional performance profiler, which just dumps performance statistics in your lap, the Acumem performance debugger automatically monitors and analyzes the interaction between your application and hardware, identifies the location and nature of performance bugs, and suggests how they can be removed.
This session will show how the new performance debugger from Acumem makes it easy to get good performance and save power. It pinpoints the efficiency problems of thread interaction and memory hierarchy. Do you have energy or performance problems with coherence traffic, false sharing, cache utilization, or inefficient usage of NUMA architectures? Questions that used to take experts weeks to answer are now answered and fixed in minutes at the click of a button.
