Climate, Combat, and Computing: HPC Solutions for the Federal Government
EVENT TYPE: Exhibitor Forum
TIME: 4:00PM - 4:30PM
ABSTRACT: High Performance Technologies, Inc. (HPTi) has deep and specialized capabilities in High Performance Computing (HPC) architectures and Computational Sciences and Engineering.
HPTi will present success stories of its collaborative work with government clients at NOAA’s Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory (GFDL) and the Department of Defense (DoD). For GFDL, HPTi has participated in climate-modeling, large data-set analysis, portals for data sharing, and research supporting the International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). HPTi will also present some experience in GPGPU computing and other applications in support of the DoD’s science and engineering mission.
Our discussion will focus on how HPC and computational science is being applied to a variety of challenges (e.g., climate change, battlefield applications, and several other solutions that have been enabled or enhanced thanks to HPC).
