Adapting and Managing HPC Resources to Accelerate the Pace of Discovery
EVENT TYPE: Exhibitor Forum
TIME: 2:00PM - 2:30PM
Presenter(s):Michael Jackson, Trev Harmon
ABSTRACT: With the pace of change accelerating, the challenge of keeping up with all the latest trends in high performance computing is daunting, let alone managing the complexity of these future systems.
At the high end of the market the challenges of deploying and managing exascale systems are already being discussed. The range of architectural choices continues to expand with multi-core / many-core processors, GPGPUs, new low latency network technologies and multiple OS environments to support, all within a dynamically changing environment. The increasing adoption of Microsoft Windows HPC server and the advent of true HPC class cloud services has the potential to include users from small and medium-sized organizations that previously found HPC capabilities unaffordable or beyond their expertise.
This session will discuss the challenges managing the diverse world of current and future HPC systems and how Moab technology can make your systems agile, automated and adaptive to user requirements.
