ABSTRACT:
CULA is a GPU-accelerated linear algebra library that utilizes the NVIDIA CUDA parallel computing architecture to dramatically improve the computation speed of sophisticated mathematics. The LAPACK functionality provided by CULA is critical to many applications ranging from computer-aided engineering and medical imaging reconstruction to climate change models, financial analysis and more. CULA offers performance up to a magnitude faster than optimized CPU-based linear algebra solvers and because it does not require CUDA programming experience, users can very easily start using it. Approaching 5,000 users, CULA is adding tremendous value to a wide range of applications and this presentation will talk about some of the most exciting ones.
