ABSTRACT: Virtualization technology has been adopted in many companies as part of the continuing trend to make data centers more efficient. With this adoption comes the realization that without automation, data center managers are unable to fully realize the benefits of virtualization. A new approach to automation is emerging that allows IT managers to provision complete virtual environments, including virtual machines, virtual networks and virtual storage devices. When deployed, this approach provides dynamic allocation of resources, increasing employee productivity, minimizing human error and accelerating data center responsiveness to customer needs.
