DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:ABSTRACT: Note: Please see below to install Eclipse before the tutorial.=0A=0AUntil recently, HPC developers were required to use separate tools for coding, debugging, job scheduling, tuning, and revision control... often with terse command line interfaces. The Eclipse Parallel Tools Platform (PTP) combines these into an integrated environment for increased productivity. PTP is built on Eclipse, a tremendously successful development environment outside HPC circles.=0A=0AThis tutorial provides attendees with a hands-on introduction to Eclipse and PTP. Learn how to create, edit, launch, monitor, debug, and analyze an MPI application in C. The core of the tutorial will focus on PTP's extensions to Eclipse: remote development support, runtime system and job monitoring, and a scalable parallel debugger. Later modules will survey advanced features, including Fortran and refactoring support, MPI/OpenMP/UPC static and dynamic analyses, performance tools, and features to facilitate integration of existing command line tools.=0A=0APlease install Eclipse on your laptop before the tutorial begins.=0ASee http://wiki.eclipse.org/PTP/tutorials/SC10 for instructions.
